Ducks in England get their own walking lanes beside commuters

As portion of a campaign dubbed “Share the Space, Drop Your Pace,” a temporary new initiative has supplied ducks with their own walking lanes along U.K. canals.

The real purpose here is to encourage commuters to be aware of creatures by sharing a space with them, according to Headlines & Global News though it’d be undeniably notable for all waterfowl to make use of the lanes.

Dick Vincent of the Trust — who reportedly painted the lanes himself — told Quartz, “It just wouldn’t be possible to paint lanes on the towpath for all our different visitors, so we thought the ducks could have one instead.”

It appears that some of the more intelligent waterfowl appear to be following the new guidelines, but naturally, there are a few rebels in the group.
