I’m a sale shopper. There’s no shame in it, I just like being able to afford buying clothes and paying rent without resorting to an all-ramen diet.
For bargain hunters, this time of year is a sale bonanza. Winter merchandise has been laid to rest on the clearance rack alongside spring styles, pushed away to make room for summer trends. Time to get a new wardrobe.
Here’s what you buy after work this week.
If you need summer shoes for the office: Urban Outfitters
If your summer shoe wardrobe alternates between sandals, flip-flops and uncomfortable pumps, you’re not alone. Urban Outfitters has been my go-to for seasonal shoes since middle school because it stocks such quality picks.
Save on: The Florence Vegan Leather Slingback Heel (once $79, now 20 percent off) will not only work with dresses, but also look divine when paired with cropped black pants.
If you’re over monochromatic neutrals: Pixie Market
Whether you regularly visit Pixie Market’s #NewYork outpost or just shop online, it’s clear the indie brand has barreled its way into the spotlight. The shop’s aesthetic leans toward ’70s-inspired pieces and out-there prints.
Save on: These Dolce Vita Totem Print Sneakers (formerly $44, now $20) will help hide the fact that you still haven’t gotten a spring pedicure. They’ll also make sundresses and eyelet lace look extra chic.
If your friends are over you wearing the same dress to brunch: Anthropologie
Anthro really stepped up its game this season. I’ve been losing my sh*t over its relaxed-fit sundresses and work-ready shirt dresses.
Save on: The retailer is having a sale on dresses, which means most styles cost less than $100. I’m all about the Patched Chambray Swing Dress (marked down from $138 to $80). It will look great with booties, sneakers and, yes, even the sandals you’ve been itching to bust out since March.
If the office AC is already on blast: Modern Citizen
My #Love for MC knows no bounds. The shop has club dresses, minimalist jewelry and booties for days. The store’s under-the-radar status means each purchase is will leave everyone in the office wondering where you got it.
Save on: The Sara Draped Tie Sweater (once $68, now $48) is perfect to drape over the back of your chair when the office gets too cold. It also works as a chill layering piece for the Mondays you walk in wearing clothes from the night before.
If you think color-blocking is for p*ssies: Clover Canyon x Target
Okay, so this isn’t so much a sale find as it is a mind-blowing collaboration, but you need to know. LA label Clover Canyon teamed up with Target (OK, Tar-jay) on an under-$100 collection of printed clothing. Get moving, because the collection is only available for 12 weeks.
Save on: The Tropical Print jumpsuit retails for $100, which is significantly less expensive than off-the-rack Clover Canyon. Wear it with a leather jacket or a sweatshirt for seriously chill vibes.
